Currently, we are looking for an Intern, Mechanical Engineer to join the ArcBest team. The Intern, Mechanical Engineer performs a variety of tasks to assist the Engineering as well as Technology Research and Development teams. This may include, but is not limited to, assistance with drafting and reviewing CAD models, FE analyses and testing various processes and procedures.

Your contribution may include:

• Assist Engineering and Technology Research and Development on mechanical engineering related studies, designs, specifications, drawings, etc.
• Identify, recommend, and implement solutions to logistics and mechanical problems.
• Assist with various administrative tasks such as copying, sending, and receiving faxes, answering phones, responding to emails, etc.
• Draft and proofread various correspondence and communications.
• Other duties and projects, as assigned.

As a Mechanical Engineer Intern, you will be a member of the ArcBest Technologies Tech R & D team in Fort Smith, AR.This is a part-time internship position starting in May through the summer that will average 30-40 hours per week. Typical hours will fall between 8:00 am – 5:00 pm during the summer months.
