Currently, we are looking for a Sales Engineer to join the ArcBest team. The Sales Engineer works with Account Management to provide a technical resource to existing and potential customers. The Sales Engineer develops strong relationships with the sales team, implementation team, internal engineering, and key technical customer contacts, and leverages those relationships to the company’s advantage. This position’s daily responsibilities require excellent problem solving as well as time management skills.

Your contribution may include:

  • Support assigned Strategic Account Managers for all pre-sales engineering functions.
  • Provide technical support and insight on discovery and roadmap calls.
  • Explain technical requirements to customers’ engineers and IT team.
  • Understand required computer networking communications protocols.
  • Develop strong relationships with customers and partners as a trusted resource.
  • Facilitate system demonstrations and site visits for prospects.
  • Qualify opportunities for business viability.
  • Demonstrate products and communicate the benefits of the system to the customer.
  • Travel to customer sites with assigned Strategic Account Managers to review customer facilities and operations.
  • Identify opportunities at customer facilities to maximize potential benefit.
  • Collect relevant data and information from the customer on their facility, operations, and potential workflows.
  • Act as the handoff point from presales to the post sales deployment team once a project is secured.
  • Communicate customer requests to the Product team to help shape future roadmaps.
  • Monitor major assigned opportunities and provide assistance when necessary.
  • Identify and address customer technical issues to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process.
  • Provide market feedback to management including competitive position, new product opportunity, and long-term planning objectives.
  • Support domestic trade shows as needed.
  • Other duties and projects, as assigned.

As a Sales Engineer, you will be a member of the ArcBest Technology Research and Development teamYour hours will be Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, with irregular hours that may occur depending on workload.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT or Engineering, preferred.

Experience: Minimum, two or more years’ experience in material handling automation.

Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or Google Docs. Experience with warehouse automation solutions, preferred. Knowledge of CAD and SQL, preferred.

In accordance with Colorado Equal Pay Transparency information, the pay range for this position is mid $85,400 - mid $106,800. Will fluctuate based on location and experience.
